The names Candace & Basil are derived from ancient titles given to a Queen and King, respectively. This royal bond symbolizes not only the leadership of an empire but also that of a household. Together, the name represents our brand, but more importantly, the customers we serve.

We are a family-owned brand of home furniture that has been a part of the American and Canadian furniture industry since 1986 as an importer, manufacturer and distributor to large national chains and local home stores.

Open for retail under the Candace & Basil brand, we strive to uphold our family’s reputation with the same values and principles. Our mandate is and has always been to maintain integrity in all aspects of our business, deliver the best possible quality at fair prices and to treat all stakeholders, especially our customers, like royalty.
