Most upholstered beds are a fabric wrap over a particleboard box. Ours start with a solid maple hardwood frame — the same foundation we’ve used for nearly 40 years. The upholstery is applied over a structure that doesn’t flex, creak, or fail. The two things together is what makes a Candace & Basil bed feel different the moment you sit on it.
