The Santa Fe custom platform bed is a handcrafted upholstered bed frame with a tall wingback headboard and a solid platform base — no box spring required. Built to order from kiln-dried hardwood and finished in your choice of fabric, it’s made in sizes from Twin all the way up to Alaskan King, so it fits the room you actually have.

Where is the Santa Fe platform bed made?
It’s built in-house at our North American workshop using kiln-dried hardwood and premium upholstery materials, then shipped directly to you.
Do I need a box spring with this bed?
No. The Santa Fe’s sturdy platform base fully supports your mattress on its own, so no box spring or bunkie board is needed.
Can I choose my own fabric?
Yes. Dozens of upholstery options are available — including spill-resistant and machine-washable performance fabrics, velvet, bouclé, leatherette and Italian leather — plus COM (customer’s own material).
How long does it take to make and deliver?
Every Santa Fe bed is made to order, with an estimated production time of 4–6 weeks. Delivery is free to your door anywhere in the United States.
Does the Santa Fe come with storage?
Yes — storage drawers are an optional upgrade at checkout, or you can choose the no-storage configuration.
What headboard heights are available?
Four heights: 42", 52", 62" and 72", each available with straight or curved wings.
How much weight can the bed hold?

Shipping
- Shipping charges are non-refundable and are available at checkout.
- You will be notified via email prior to delivery to coordinate a date and time window.
- Typical transit time is 1-2 weeks depending on your location. Remote regions may require additional time.
Returns
- In order to qualify for a return, contact us within 30 days of delivery. The item(s) must be unused, unassembled, in original condition and all contents packaged back into the original packaging.
- Return shipping charges will apply.
- All custom items, mattresses, pillows and bedding are non-refundable and are final sale.
Candace & Basil custom beds come with a 10-year warranty covering defects in seams, foams, filling, and wooden frame under normal residential use. If any of these components fail due to manufacturing defects, we will repair or replace them at no cost. This warranty does not cover wear and tear or damage from misuse, accidents, or improper care. The warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable. This policy reflects our commitment to providing durable and long-lasting furniture that you can trust and enjoy for years to come.
